Terms & Conditions

1. What CUFood is
CUFood is a platform that lets students order food from participating campus outlets and pay online in advance. CUFood is not itself a restaurant — food preparation, ingredients, and quality are entirely the responsibility of the outlet you order from. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
2. Ordering hours
Ordering is available 10am–6pm, Monday–Friday, across every outlet on the platform, regardless of what any individual outlet displays elsewhere. This is a fixed operating window, not something outlets can extend on their own.
3. Payment
Payment is collected in full at checkout through Razorpay before your order is sent to the restaurant. Prices shown are set by each outlet. CUFood does not add its own markup on menu prices at checkout.
4. Acceptance and rejection
Once payment is confirmed, the order is sent to the restaurant, who may either accept it (and begin preparing it) or reject it — for example, if they've run out of an item or can't fulfil it in time. You'll see this reflected on your order-status page as soon as the restaurant responds.
Once paid, an order cannot be cancelled by the student. Only the restaurant can decline an order after payment.
5. Refunds
If a restaurant rejects your order, a full refund is issued automatically to your original payment method — no request needed on your part. Refunds typically take 5–7 business days to reflect, depending on your bank, though some UPI refunds may land sooner. CUFood does not charge or retain any part of a refunded order.
6. Pickup
Orders are for self-pickup at the outlet's counter using the 6-character pickup code shown on your order-status page. CUFood is not responsible for orders that go uncollected, and we'd encourage picking up promptly once you're notified it's ready.
7. Fair use
Placing orders with false contact details, repeatedly ordering with no intent to collect, or otherwise abusing the platform may result in restricted access to CUFood.
8. Limitation of liability
CUFood facilitates ordering and payment between students and outlets; we aren't liable for food quality, preparation time, or availability, which are the responsibility of the individual outlet. Our role is limited to processing your order and payment correctly and issuing refunds when a restaurant can't fulfil an order.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use of CUFood after a change means you accept the updated terms.
